Mr. Reid Dulberger, EDGE President, was invited to speak at the Raising Awareness: Urban Innovations for Equity Symposium sponsored by New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA) on July 20th.  Attended by New Orleans-area business stakeholders and government officials, the symposium’s goal was to introduce new and innovative strategies to accelerate growth among local minority and women-owned businesses.

Mr. Dulberger discussed EDGE’s best practices and strategies that have positively impacted minority and women-owned businesses in Memphis and Shelby County, such as the Payment-In-Lieu-of-Tax (PILOT) program, Inner City Economic Development (ICED) Loans, and EDGE’s Economic Gardening program.  With EDGE projects expected to generate an estimated $2.5 billion worth of capital investment, EDGE requires that more than $405 million is spent with minority and women-owned businesses.
