At just 12 years old, Aiden Hubbard is proving that age is no barrier to entrepreneurial success. Recognized with the inaugural Kidpreneur of the Year Award by EDGE in 2023, Aiden’s journey embodies the spirit of innovation, determination, and community impact.
Aiden launched Mr. Lemon-Aiden at the age of six with a simple yet ambitious idea: selling fruit-infused lemonade. What began as a lemonade stand at a family yard sale has grown into a thriving business, offering an array of flavors like strawberry, raspberry, pineapple, peach, and his personal favorite – blueberry. Beyond lemonade, Aiden has expanded his menu to include lemon and lime pies, homemade pound cake, and smoothie pops.
Aiden’s hard work and creativity have earned him numerous accolades, including multiple awards for highest business potential, best presentation, and fan favorite at the Memphis Children’s Business Fair. His entrepreneurial journey has also inspired his younger siblings, who look up to him as a role model and occasionally lend a hand in the business.
His mother, Anbria Crawford, shared her pride in Aiden’s accomplishments, saying, “It’s amazing to see him take an idea he had at six years old and turn it into something real and impactful. He’s setting a powerful example for his siblings and showing others that age doesn’t define your ability to succeed.”
Aiden’s story serves as a reminder that entrepreneurship can start at any age and encourages young innovators to dream big. As EDGE celebrates individuals driving economic development in Memphis and Shelby County, Aiden’s recognition highlights the importance of nurturing youth entrepreneurship as a vital part of the community’s future.
